What are the wild life conservation efforts made in India and what are its results?

India has one of the best laws for protection of wildlife and forest but the problem is implementation of these laws. Recently we saw a news that Imam of Delhi had some captive wild animals but no action was taken. Salman Khan killed black bucks for entertainment, Nawab of Pataudi enjoys killing wild animals, Politicians at almost all states are found killing and violating wild life laws but notthing happens. OUR LAW IMPLEMENTATION IS VERY BAD.

Our people are sleeping, they worship Tiger, they say Tiger is God, Tiger is vehicle of Mother Goddess, Tiger is our ancestor but kill the same magnificient animal for petty amount. We worship almost all animals as vehicle of some or other God but kill these animals. We worship trees but cut them for wood and money. For us natural resources are only for exploitation. We say our culture is the best in this world but we do every thing against it.

Our government has reserved vast tract of forest land for saving them but we do not care when they are de notified for putting up polluting industries. They say we should have minimum 33% forest land but today they are less than 19% and fast depleting. Only around 4% land is reserved for Tiger our national animal but we are trying to denotify a vast tract of forest land where our national animal lives and in favour of VOTES. Yes, only for votes.

Until and unless we change our way of thinking, our materialistic ways I do not fore see any future for our wildlife.

I am hoping that lot of young people will take active part in their heritage - their brothern from the animal kingdom. Lot of wild life protection needs government patronage. when some states are aggresively embarking  on globalistion [other word for it being capitalism unplugged] what impact it is going to have on wild life protection nobody knows. there is so much tiger and rhino pouching happening nobdy seems to care in this busy busy world. The ministry of environment and forests both at the centre and at the state needs to be given more teeth for wild life protection needs to be really meaninful. It goes without saying that the natural habitat of the wild life has be protected for wild life to endure the beset of modern day humans.
