just back from my holiday in bulgaria, but was put off swimming because of the horrible slater/prawn things swimming past. At 1st they looked like floating bits of broken grass about 1cm long and 2-3mm wide. only seen its legs when i pulled one out off my swim shorts after it nipped me. also seen a few riding 'piggy-back' with others. there was probably about 5-10 of them per cubic metre near the shore. Anyone know anything about them?
