  1. John 3:16

For God so love the world He gave His only begotten Son, whosoever, believed in him will have everlasting life.

  2. God sent jesus to redeem mankind.(john 3v16). It is only by having faith in him that we have everlasting life by being 'set free'. (john 17v 3)

Jesus' disciples were sent to preach in jesus' name later on and this would be an identifying mark that they and future ones are truly followers of christ.(matthew 24v14). Also they were to be 'no part of the world', which is under satan's influence. (1john 5v19).

These are essential for us to be extended god's mercy since "faith without works is dead", and so of no value if we do not apply in our lives the teachings of christ.

  3. The bible, and for those of you who can't tell which words of the bible that is, start with Jesus's words that are in red.
