Most of the power in the US comes from Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Wind, Hydro, Solar, Geothermal.

The Average power cost in the US to the consumer is about 10-11 cents/kilowatt-hour.

California is the same, but their cost is a little higher because they produce and buy a lot of their power in other states so they do not get the pollution. Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah have to breath their pollution.
