What is the story behind the professions? Being the oldest, does that mean the demand was there first?

im with the first guy. prostitution is one of the oldest. probably followed by tattooing. tattooing has been dated back to the ancient egyptians. of course they didnt do it as a job. uh, a painter/artist. and farming. they didnt look at it as a profession either. it was a way of life. i cant really think about anything else.

i don't know about the top ten, but I know that prostitution is one of if not the oldest profession in the world.
