    You get an increase each year until you reach €55,000 after 25 continuous years of teaching.

It's impossible to give an accurate answer to that.  I can't speak for England, France or Ireland, but here in the states it depends GREATLY on where you teach and how much education you have.  If you already have some years of experience it can vary even more-depending on whether the district will give you credit for those years.  What you need to do is think of a couple of areas in the US where you would like to teach and check out the websites for their school districts.  Often they will have their salary schedule posted on the site and you'll be able to figure out where you would fall.
