If I spelled Jim Henson wrong then sorry......

This show came on during the 80's or 90's and had primarily British actors (actually I think they all were British actors) anyways every episode consisted of live action acting as well as sometimes either claymation or animatronic. I think a few were like a kid is on a movie set and this animatronic dragon talks to him and tries to make some sort of deal with him, and then maybe an older one was this guy playing cards with these little winged demons, and another was a twist on Jack and the Beanstalk. Even if these aren't the same show, the creators must all be the same.

The next one is a show that I am pretty sure is made by the same guys who made "David The Gnome" The show's episodes was a different story or some sort of fable. A few of the stories were a spoiled boy had to watch over a giant's lake, and another was about a man made a deal with a demon for money but the man could never cut his fingernails, cut his hair or bathe. And another story was these three princesses are tricked every night to go dancing with these three men who are actually demons trying to make them their slaves.

Any help with these shows will be greatly appreciated. These shows bring back so many memories. Thanks to all who help!

  1. Hi,

the first show you are asking about is called The Storyteller. It was such an awesome, yet creepy childhood show. You can buy it on DVD as my housemate owns it, so maybe you shoudl buy it and then realise that it was SO WRONG of our parents to think it was ok for us to watch this program. hahah, it is seriously not fit for children, I'm 21 now and it scares me so much!!

    ENJOY!

The other one i'm not sure about sorry.
