A few monthes ago I noticed one small, quarter-sized patch of what looked like goosebumps on my arm. Since then it has spread to maybe half a dozen or so small, connecting patches on that forearm, and there are a few on the opposite forearm. These bumps do not itch and they are skin-colored (For me at least -- I'm white).

What do you thnk this could be?

  1. This sounds like Keratosis Pilaris.  It's a benign buildup of keratin in the hair follicles.  Use of an exfoliating scrub in the shower and also a moisturizing lotion like Carmol 10 or AmLactin can help alleviate the condition, but it's not serious.  Keratosis Pilaris is only a cosmetic condition -- it may go away as you get older, but many people have the condition.  You must use sunscreen if you use something like Carmol 10 or AmLactin and spend time in the sun, or you will burn.  Only consistent use will keep KP away.
