What are these Moon cake ingredients?

im trying to make moon cake for home ec, what are these ingredients and where do i find them?

locust seed paste

and

Solid shortening

That is lotus seed paste. Locusts are bugs. Lotus seed paste can be found in some asian specialty stores, but is not too common when not during new years. As for shortening, just use crisco.

Do you mean LOTUS seed paste?  I've never heard of locust seed paste in moon cakes before.  You can find Lotus seed paste at any asian grocery stores.  You find the best prices there and better variety (I doubt you will find this at your local grocery store and if you do, it will be overpriced).
