What are these? (Sea monkey dilema part 2)?

I bought some sea monkeys which I found (after research) appeared to be eaten by small black bugs which were a similar shape to my sea monkeys. They were swimming in the water, jumping along the surface and climbing and walking along my work tops. They weren't the shrimp as shrimp don't behave this way, they obviously ate them and took over the tank. Any ideas? Thanks

  1. first of all, you have my sympathy over you loss. secondly the little black bugs you speak of are called 'iratus scelestus pello pepulli pulsum'. they are a menace to any aquatic set up. they are native to the seas of the Caribbean. they are a bi yearly infestation that every 2 years following the 'pink moon' ravage the seas around the Caribbean islands. they feed in large numbers consuming anything they can take. my suggestions, incinerate the tank before another outbreak occurs.
