Question:

What are these little grey marks on my White uniform?

They look like little grey splashes of water and only occur in a little area. I thought it was just wet but it doesn't evaporate when the iron goes over it. I washed the white tops by themselves using those transparent capsules you can buy with the liquid inside. I put the machine straight onto the dryer and dried it that way. They came out bone dry.

How do I remove these annoying little grey marks - what are they?

  1. This could be the  cause of the liquid capsules you used to wash the uniform with sometimes when liquids or detergents that are not diluted come in contact with the fabric it can leave a stain or even sometimes a residue this can be removed by pretreating the stained area with undiluted White Vinegar and leaving on for about three to four hours then washing in the hottest water your uniform can handle along with one cup of White Vinegar added to the wash water do not add any detergent or fabric softeners as vinegar cleans and softens and remove stains detergent will also lessen the effect of the vinegar Good Luck !

  2. My granddaughter was pouring the fabric softener directly on some of her clothes when she was doing her laundry. The fabric softener will do that.

I use Oxyclean and liquid detergent in the washer. Must have medium hot water to make the Oxyclean work. I have never used those little capsules you are talking about.

Turn on the water and put the Oxy and detergent in, then put in your white uniforms when the water is mostly in the machine and the detergent and Oxy are well diluted, Wash then move to dryer with fabric softener sheets. Remove from dryer immediately and hang and you won't have so much to iron.
