Question:

What are these little lines going across the my LCD TV screen?

Sometimes I see them in the middle of the screen and sometimes at the bottom but usually at the top. I have had the tv for 4 months now and am just noticing them. Can the manufacturer repair this or is it unfixable? Do I ask them to replace the tv? It is not unwatchable, just annoying but for the money I spent on it I think it should work without any problems. Usually not as bad on the HD channels. It also doesn't usually start until about 20-30 minutes after turning the tv on. Can anyone out there help me? I read something about vertical banding but not sure if this is it because the lines are real tiny. Kind of like what you would see on a ruler going across the top of the screen about a half inch deep. When I see pics of vertical banding it is usually at least an inch or two wide bands going all the way down the screen. My lines are vertical but evenly spread apart and go across the screen from one side to another.

  1. my LCD TV did that too but after I got HDTV Cable Box it went away.  Is your HDTV Source (Cable Box, Satelite Box) hooked up through a cable cord (s***w) or the HD A/V Cords (Green. Blue, Red, Audio Red, and Audio White) because even after I got the HDTV Cable Box my cable guy just put it through a s***w Cable jack and it was on Channel 3 and it still had lines, but then I called the company and they came and put the HDTV A/V Cord instead f he cable jack and the lines went away.
