What are these nightmares about?

Well i keep having nightmares about pirates.I think it's because when i was 3 or 4 i went to Cornwall i saw these wax pirates i got really scared and ran out screamed.But the other night i had a nightmare that my mum had an other baby,so when i asked her in the morning she said that it might mean a new beginning.Then a couple of weeks later my mums mate's wife had a baby i thought it was a coincadence but you never know! Then a month later i had a dream that there was a never ending staircase and i was running down it and i fell off the banastar and started falling down a never ending cliff ! When i woke up i told my mum and she said she didn't know.So i thought that maby i will live longer?

If you cant answer all of these nightmares try and do one!

Well, that's a bit weird, because in meditation, to go deeper in yourself, you should imagine going down and down a spiral staircase, are you suggesting your psychic? We do all get weird dreams like this, mine help me work out things =]

Yes, pirates can be creepy-looking.

And you were a baby, so it's fine to be afraid of things which look weird or wrong.

The dreams don't mean anything.

Dreams always mean something. where do you live? if you live near a town find a bookshop and get a book on dreams, they explained all of my dreams. After understanding them i never really worried anymore or have nightmares.

It's more the fact that these dreams scare you than anything else. You refer to these as 'nightmares', possibly due to running in them, and feeling scared.

What dreams are are our subconscious mind working out problems and issues that our conscious minds encounter during the day. So you have nasty dreams about pirates, it's something that has lingered with you, and in your own subconscious mind, the pirates have become your own personal symbol of scary monsters. Your nightmare about your mother having another baby was a nightmare to YOU because you are reluctant to have too many unexpected changes in your life. Your Mum's wife had a baby, and you must have known she was expecting .... that was not likely to have been either a suprise or a coincidence. I think your mind took this and put it into a different context, and it became a symbol for you in some way.

The staircase/fall is interesting, because it's the unending thing. Dreams like this suggest that you are very insecure about many things, and they certainly don't 'mean' that you'll live longer. (Very few people get dreams of a truly psychic nature. Most dreams have to do with everyday processing of information received during the day.)

I think rather than getting caught up with what your dreams 'mean', I would start examining why you are getting them. These have to do more with things that you perceive as threats to you, dangers, things that can upset your life. You could look into what these are and why they worry you. Chances are that your worries have no foundation at all, simply because, like the pirates, you saw these when very young but haven't been able to fully let go of these fears.

The subconscious mind has its own crazy logic, and seems highly irrational to many, but it is a world of its own, and people forget that.

Dreams are a metaphorical representation of our fears and desires.

Nightmares are a materialization of our fears.

To conquer our fears we must face them.

It seems you have a deep fear of pirates that was implanted in you when you were a child.To conquer that fear you must face those pirates again to see that there is nothing to be afraid of.It is the only way..Ask your mother to take you to Cornwall again if possible.

You dreamt of your mother having another baby because you desire a brother or a sister in your life.I assume you are a only child.

Your falling from a cliff could mean that you fear loosing control of your life.I assume your life is filled with stress.Are you perhaps cutting yourself?
