Hi, My Family and i are trying to do up our backyard and we're trying to find out what the name of these roses are?

They grow in a ball with a long stem... We want White, Pink and Purple colors. I need to know what they're called and whether they're available in seed or in stems? Thank-You so much if you can help! :)

  1. Yes totally agree with the other answers. When buying a standard try to do it in the winter months as you can buy them bare rooted (not in a pot) for at least half price, and make sure they are a floribunda rose and not a tea rose as they will give you a more compact bush with more flowers. Make sure you ask about pruning while you are at the nursery. They come in all the colours you want (and more).

  2. they are what are called a standard rose, they are normal roses usually of miniture  some have larger flowers ,variety that are grafted onto a longer stem of a sturdy robust rose.  their only available in a whole plant they do not drow from seed.  There are lots of colours available if you go to any nursery they will be able to help many have catalogues you can look at and order from that will be suitable to your area.

  3. well, i think you are talking about standard roses.  they grow on a long stem, sorta look like a tree with a rosebush at the top.  i pasted a link to a page with photos of these sort of roses, they're beauties, that's for sure.  you should be able to find them in any good local nursery, they are specially grown, you can't grow them from seeds.  in fact, you don't grow any roses from seeds.  anyway, if this photo is what you are looking for, call around and ask for standard roses, you might have to special order the purple ones.  good luck!  ps, i should know, my name is rose!  lol...
