What are these things being built along the highway? (pics included)?

There has been construction in the area for awhile but these just popped up in the last couple days. There is one facing each direction every couple hundred yards and there are 7-8 of them total.

I thought they could be those radar boxes that show you your current speed, but these are a bit larger then the other ones around. And at 60-70 mph they are probably about 15-20 seconds apart. So that wouldn't really make much sense would it?

So... what are they?

Your pics are working. I've seen things being built though that will tell you if deer are close to the highway. It could be that.
