Question:

What are these tiny, skin-colored bugs in my room?

I've never had this problem before, but I recently found myself surrounded by these very tiny, skin-colored bugs in my room, on my bed, and on my skin. I can't feel anything, but when I wake up, I have these tiny bumps on my arm/body, so I guess they bit me while I was sleeping. I think they fly or jump because I've seen a few doing that on my black computer screen in my room. I take a shower everyday and wash the sheets often, so I don't know what it is. Any thoughts? How do I get rid of them (they're really tiny and all over the place) and do they grow bigger in size as time goes on/multiply in number really quick? Please help me! 10 points for best answer!

  1. It looks like you may have a case of bed bugs. Here is some information about them.  http://studenttravel.about.com/od/health...

It seems that you have to wash all your bedding completely on high heat. You also have to vacuum everywhere including under the bed meticulously. I would also turn your mattress over as well.

  2. call an exterminator.

  3. Maybe "bed bugs" apparently they live inside the rim on your mattress... my drama teacher told us that they smell quite bad, too but she was quite eccentric...

  4. Sounds like fleas.....those things bite you and get your blood, and they multiply like crazy! I'd suggest calling an exterminater and explaining the problem, as that's the only way to rid your house of them

  5. These would be.. fleas.. Do you have a family dog(s) or cat(s) that sleep in your room, under your bed or in your bed? Spray your room with fly spray and use mosquito spray on yourself before you go to bed and don't let the animal sleep in your room.

  6. I and every other pest control company get this type of question a number of times a year. For there to be a treatment you must capture and have identified the pest. Place the flat glue boards that you can get from hardware stores used to capture mice and other insects. It will be a thin piece of cardboard with a sticky substance that the pests will stick to, then you can get them identified. There will be no pest that is so tiny, or hard to capture that it won't be found.

  7. Could they be these?

  8. Its hard to say exactly what they are with out seeing them....they could be dust mites, bed bugs or fleas? And it sounds you are having a reaction to their bites.  I would get a "flea" bomb from the supermarket and let it go in your room making sure you follow the instructions on the can ie cover up fish tanks and make sure there are no pets in your room. Keep room closed up all day then ventilate in the evening.  This may help, otherwise if its bed bugs you will have to wash everything and get a new mattress. The other thing it could be is "scabies" which are tiny microscopic bugs. They are highly contagious and you need to go to the doctor to get cream as having a shower will not help the bites. Look it up on the net for more info.

Bed bug bites are terribly itchy and come up as little dots usually in a line on your arms and legs and body. You can help the itch with calamine lotion or antihistamines When you say they are flying around you room....it could be some sort of flea? Good luck!

  9. dude if their white than its not a big problem. They stay for a while and leave. Just continue to clean your sheets and shower.
