i have these black wingless bugs the size of 2 black pepper specks in my rug. they are very small & if u look closely they are shiny. i have been observing them and they dont seem to be moving but i am sure they are bugs. i cant see their legs and they have no wings. they're everywhere in my rug but i dont see them moving.... they dont match bed bugs descriptions. if anyone knows what these bugs are can you please help me?? how do i get rid of these things and are they harmful??

  1. I searched through all my insect bugs and none are described as pepper specks.  If there was any food or moisture on the rug, even drips from a rain coat fungus can grow and fungus gnats will find there way in.  Your best bet is a vacuum.  No they can't get back out.
