What are these two doing?

my boyfriends cat is staying here for the week.wen he first got here,my cat,who is also male didnt like it at all but he got over it in about 2 hours.i think he likes him now.im pretty sure that my boyfriends cat established his dominance over my cat but ive never seen two cats act the way they are.all my cat does is follow around the other one.sometimes theyll stop n sniff each other but other that thats all they really do.any ideas on what they are doing?

They are getting to know each other.  Cats identify each other mainly by scent. No worries if they are getting along.

Maybe they want to become best friends or something.I really don't know.
