  1. They could be corn snakes or grass snakes. My friends neighbour's just found one and kept it!

  2. can you ship me some for fishing?god i am soooooo jealous

  3. it sounds like a glass snake.not a worm or a snake but a lizard with no legs closely related to a skink ,look at the link i don't know where you are this artical  said native to north carolina.........tom

  4. Wow! Take a photo and post up the link so we can see them! I would be a bit scared too, be careful! Look up pictures of grass snakes maybe you will be able to identify them on the net. Or call your local vet or animal rescue as they could be rare. Animal rescue would come out and identify them for ya. All I'm finding are giant worms but only found in Australia or USA. You could have discovered a family of something pretty unusual in the UK.

  6. I think they are Giant earth worms, I seen a show where these guys was pulling them out of mud bank, could be near you, Don't bother them if you don't need to, they are your yards best soil re generator. which you need for other stuff to work as a whole in an Eco system. If you have kids in the area call them over and show them, They will love you for it. give them one for favors in return.

  7. Caecilians?

EDIT: England? My mistake. (I'm English too, there are no caecilians here). OK... Are they segmented like earthworms? Do they move like worms, or like snakes? Do they have eyes? If they're lying around in the open they don't sound like earthworms.

  8. Have you been eating too much dairy products b4 bed time? ;-)

  10. They could be New Zealand flat worms which are bigger than normal earth worms and are not a native species.

If they are you need to report it to Defra
