  1. most injuries in football happen on special teams.

would you really want your star runningback to do that, knowing that fact?

  2. I agree.

Stecker has been proving himself these past few games.  I'd like to see him get more carries.   Porter is a rookie and maybe they're getting him some play time as a back up returner.   Maybe once the real season starts we'll see him some more.

I like Skyler Green back there, from LSU, too.

  3. they are not saving bush for anything, the guy has yet to prove himself, porter is returning for special teams because they probably dont want bush to get hurt in preseason, and if you ask me, porter is doing way better than bush has ever done on special teams

  4. Mardi Gras

  5. he's being payed very good money.... he won't see much of the field in the preseason (same for the likes of Drew Brees, Jeremy Shockey, etc. and most starters on ALL teams.)  the more $$$ you make, the less you play.  Deuce might be an exception, cause they want to see how his surgically repaired knee holds up, plus get him into game shape.

  6. This is the pro's.  We are talking about the NFL.  In college football, most if not all running backs handle more than one duty.  The fact is a lot of the injuries happen on special teams.  So its best if your leading running back especially one as good as Reggie Bush does not become injured on a special teams play.  He's good at running back, and I believe that he is best needed for running not for special teams.  If you have a great running back in Reggie Bush there is no need to injure him or put him at greater risk, save him so that he can get you down the field.. Besides you only give players double duty if they are good enough to fill that spot and if they have no one else to turn to..

  7. "Star running back?"

s***w that. Bush obviously can't make it as a RB in the NFL. It's time for Payton to just convert him to a WR and let him duke it out with Colston, Meachem, Patten, and Moore. If he can't make the roster there, cut his ***. It makes me sick to see how much money we're wasting on him when we could have spent all of that developing talent on defense.

We don't need Reggie Bush. Someone else please take him.
