My fertility doctor wanted me to have my blood drawn on day 3 of my period. What are they testing for? Does it have to do something with the functioning of my ovaries?

  1. On cycle day 3 they are looking at certain hormone levels... FSH, E2, prolactin, TSH, and possibly testosterone, LH, and fasting glucose.

If you are having the basic Day 3 tests they are looking to see how hard your ovaries are working to ovulate and if something could be interfering with a good ovulation.

    Good luck!

  2. I believe they are looking for FSH levels - google it and you will get allot of info.  They may do another at 7DPO to check progesterone.

    GL!
