What are things i can get to enterain my family and friends?

i love to cook for my friends and family on the weekends. but i kinda lack on things to entertain them before and after the meals. any ideas??

board games like Settlers of Catan or Risk are fun games to play.  Or games like Apples to Apples or things like that that don't require a lot of brain function.  Or if you like active games that are cheap there is Ladder Ball or Croquet or...I don't know.  Video games can be kinda boring, but if you have or can get a Nintendo Wii, those are fun.  And 4 people can play at a time and you get exercise with it too.
