What are those areas called with all the different countries embassies?

In Washington there is an area dedicated o all the different country's embassies? I believe in New York there is an area like this? I am looking for a descriptor that would best describe such a venue. Or even like what a meeting/conference with all foreign ambassadors,etc.

Embassy Row - sounds a little too obvious, but its true. This is where most embassies and high comissions in Washington are.
