I think you are referring to lovies/security blankets...best advice...get more than one of which ever one the child will use.  We got one a my baby shower from out of town guests.  He realy loved that one and it was getting trashed.  We searched and searched the internet and all the stores in our city for the same one (anything different was not going to cut it for him).  We finaly found it at http://www.mychildclothing.com/Angel-Dea...

We have others that are larger and more ornate, but he only likes the little head and the soft blanket...less is more, I guess.

a bath towel . the animal in the corner is more than likely the hood to cover his/her lil head .

I know what you're talking about...they are probably just called washcloths! If you are creative, you can make them yourself. Just bunch up the middle of the washcloth, put a rubber band around it, and draw an animal face.
