What are those black upside-down domes?

What are those black upside-down domes on the ceilings of most stores? Like Rite Aid, Walmart, etc. Haha, I only noticed them during a shoppin trip when my little cousin asked me what they were. I'm guessing those are security cameras.

Yes, that's what they are...Big Brother on the ceiling.

I think that's what they are too!  I'm pretty sure.  We have like mini ones at our school, so I just assumed that they are larger versions.
