I live in Onatrio, Canada and we have these little green bugs that are coming off the tree? My husband thinks they are aphids, but I don`t think they are. I also seem to find that when they are on you they bite. Can someone please he^lp me out on what they are and maybe how to get rid of them or kepp them away.

Thanks

  1. Only gave us the colour and location but....

Ants farm aphids in trees so they could be aphids but aphids don't bite. Ants do.

Check the tree trunk for ants. If there are ants on the trunk , you can be sure aphids are in the tree.

Block the ants from climbing the tree with a product called' Tanglefoot' to end the problem.

  2. they may be shield bugs, so called because of their shape, have a look on your plants for clusters of black spots ,they also love tomatoes, malathion is an ideal spray for those type of insects
