What are those cement things at the top of parking spaces called?

You guys know the thing that prevents you from pulling up too far onto the sidewalk... What is it called? My dad said curb but that doesn't seem right. Does it even have a name? If not, can we name it? I really need to know!

  1. Called a designated curb,

    can be in a parking lot, in front of a business,

    Sometimes they are painted different colours to identfy who can park there , blue for disabled, or for a certain amount of time.

    In shopping centers, in the parking lot, usually there are two types one for regular parking and the other for handicap

Or Kerb if you live in England, the original idea was to raise the footpath (sidewalk) above the road to prevent people being splashed by water thrown up by passing horse drawn waggons or carriages, Also before roads became hard surfaced as today they were basically mud tracks and allowed people to walk higher than the road and keep clear of the mud
