they're huge fans spaced out in fields...related to conserving/creating energy. ??

  1. You are most likely talking about wind turbines, they look like a giant airplane propeller on a tower, and they create energy. But sometimes you might see large fans in fields of crops, usually fruit/nut trees. These fans are to keep the crops from getting frost damage. The fans keep the air moving so that dew cannot form on the fruit/nuts and freeze, thusly spoiling the crop.

  3. In the UK here they are called Wind Turbines

    And they are the best thing since sliced bread until they decide to put some up on the hill above my village

    Everybody wants them here but not in their back garden

  4. I think your referring to windmill powered generators. They produce electric power from wind power. Pretty neat

  5. They are wind turbines, when the wind blows the propellers it moves the turbine inside creating electricity, that power is then stored in giant batteries or sent out to homes to be used.
