  1. Japanese beetle traps, possibly.  They place a female s*x pheromone in the box to attract male beetles which are then unable to breed and multiply this pests' numbers.


  2. In Wisconsin we have lime greeen boxes hanging in the trees, to check the population on Gypsy Moths.  If the population is too high, then ariel spraying is done in that area.

  3. Those are jun iper jumping gems. They are a mating ritual for the locals dating back to the days of the Indians. The color of the box says your sexual preference. Only in Ohio
