What are those little red beans that you can scratch on the pavement and it burns your skin?

The comanche used them in rituals and kids used to love to bun each other with them... but I can't remember what they're called? Anyone know?

I know exactly what you are talking about..being raised in Texas we had plenty..I never knew the name either..we simply called them"burning beans"..
