I'm looking for the name of the name of the uniform top. It's where the bottom hem of the top piece has a flap that comes down to the knees. There are flaps only on the front and the back.

My friend says that he thinks the style of uniform comes from tai chi, but I have no idea. I'm providing a rough picture of what it looks like.

Something like that. Thanks in advance.

  1. karategui

  2. They are known as Gi.

  3. KS-kickass suit

  4. "Keikogi" worn exclusively by the Samurai under their armor during 'Feudal Japan's many battles ).  This particular top is still used by many art forms today including, but not limited to,  Aikido practitioners, Kendo practitioners and Iaido practitioners.  Tai chi is a chinese art form and you may be talking about the "Shaolin Warrior Monk Robe" better known as the Shaolin Wudung Robe. It's one of these two, but if, in fact, you're talking about the Chinese uniform  it is called the "Shaolin Wudung Robe".  It's the one with the flap in front and back only.
