  1. that happens to me too sometimes. it's just that your eyes are adjusting after you have had them shut for sleeping so long. hope that helps (:

  2. are you anemic? I experienced seeing silver shooting stars whenever i get up from bending over to pick up something from the floor. It was terrible because it lasted a few seconds.  My doctor told me that I was anemic and advised me to take iron supplements.  It really helped.

If I were you, consult a doctor.  You might be anemic or your blood pressure might be quite high.  Take care of your health before it's too late.

  3. its a lack of Oxygen to the brain.... and a rush of oxygenated blood back in the brain..

  4. What you are describing is commonly referred to as “flashes.”  Ophthalmologists warn that a sudden increase in flashes or floaters may be a sign of a serious eye condition and it is recommended that you receive a dilated eye exam.  If you have had an eye exam recently, and this is only an occasional occurrence, you probably have nothing to worry about.  However, if it has been a year or more since your last complete eye exam, if you are diabetic, or if you have ever been diagnosed with any retina problems, you should see an ophthalmologist sooner rather than later.  Hope this helps.
