Tonsils but they are part of your defense immune system and best to try and boost your immune system so that the infection clears up with out taking them out.  In the long run this is a better strategy.

It is a circular shaped organ in the back of your throat. The reason why people get it taken out is that it sometimes in cases attract Bacteria like streptococcus (strep throat). The reason why It can attract bacteria is because the tonsils have tiny holes on it in which the bacteria can get stuck and grow... As time progress the holes will get bigger if infection is reoccurring. the tonsils is an organ that has no use basically. just like the appendix. Its a vestigial organ...
