  1. South Africa

  2. Vatican - all Catholic countries are represented.

Saudi Arabia - all Muslims flock to this country as a pilgrim.

  3. What are thr Most diverse countries in the world ?

Natural diversity, ethnic diversity and cultural diversity

I would say it is the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean as my first choice.

    My reasons are:

Because it is the most cosmopolitan country in the world according to United Nations and other international organisations with a very high rate of ethnic mix of people from the Indians, Chinese, Creole (Black African descent) and White Europeans – English, French, German, Dutch, Swiss, Swedes living harmoniously together without any trouble. It is truly Microcosmos. Mauritius has many religions within its diversity from Christianity to Judaism to Hinduhism to Buddhism to Sikhism to Islam. Nearest country that has similar cosmopolitan mix will probably be Brazil and also Malaysia.

The beauty of the island of Mauritius. it is surrounded by a brightly tropical ocean enhanced by golden beaches, covered with swaying fields of sugar cane, with a wealth of forests full of wonderful birds - such as Pink Pigeon, Mauritius Kestrial as well as wonderful animals like Mauritius Deer, Golden Bats. It also have large Turtles, large Pink Snails, Blue Marlin and others.

Paul Berenger - a White Mauritian born with French European descent became the first Prime Minister of Mauritius to be non-Indian. The society is very tolerant because 57% of population is Indian but still voted for Paul Berenger to become their first white Prime Minister. There are not many countries in the world that would allow this to happen - maybe Senator Obama to be the first Black President of the USA. There is a high rate of racial and ethnic tolerance in Mauritius. For Mauritius - racial or ethnic integration is light years ahead of other nations in the world where it is still a problem today - basically learn to live together irrespective of wealth.

Food is great with many tasty cuisines from various cultures that influence Mauritian cuisine from the Dutch to the French to the British to the Indian to the Chinese to the Malays to the Creole and etc.

For my second choice will be Brazil and Malaysia – both countries have a high rate of diversity in cultures and ethnicities living together harmoniously. In Sao Paolo in Brazil – there is a very large Japanese community overthere - approximately 3 million living in Sao Paolo. In Malaysia – they have Indian, Chinese influences as well as complete mix of religious faiths from the Hinduism to Buddhism to Christianity to Islam – even though Malaysia is a Muslim country – it has integrated the other faiths within the country without any problem at all.

The final answers are Mauritius as first choice, Brazil and Malaysia as second choice.

As a diverse city in the world I would state it is London in the United Kingdom but the question is only refering the most diverse countries in the world. Not refering to a city.

Also please refer to Andalus or Andalucia in Spain in Europe as pefect model and very good example of Ancient Diversity between faiths and different ethnic groupings which lasted more than 7 centuries long. History does not lie at all in this case.

Also extracts from wikipedia as well on Andalucia:

    C.W. Previte-Orton writes in his Cambridge medieval history, (Previte-Orton (1971), vol. 1, pg. 376)

The brilliant Saracenic civilization of Moslem Spain rendered the Moors, even during their declines under the Reyes de Taifas, the most cultured people of the West.

Many tribes, religions and races coexisted in al-Andalus, each contributing to the intellectual prosperity of Andalusia. Literacy in Islamic Iberia was far more widespread than any other country of the West. (Previte-Orton (1971), vol. 1, pg. 377).

From the earliest days, the Umayyads wanted to be seen as intellectual rivals to the Abbasids, and for Córdoba to have libraries and educational institutions to rival Baghdad's. Although there was a clear rivalry between the two powers, freedom to travel between the two Caliphates was allowed, which helped spread new ideas and innovations over time.

In the 10th century, the city of Cordoba had 700 mosques, 60,000 palaces, and 70 libraries, the largest of which had up to 600,000 books. In comparison, the largest library in Christian Europe at the time had no more than 400 manuscripts, while the University of Paris library still had only 2,000 books later in the 14th century.
