  1. gas

    liquid

    solid

  2. high specific heat

    high surface tension

its adhesive, cohesive and less dense in solid form than in its liquid form

  3. there are four actually. Liquid, gas, solid and plasma.

  4. gas...solid...liquid

  5. viscosity

    adhesion

    transparency

gas, liquid and solid are states, not properties.

  6. marisopa

  7. H,2,and O :D!!!

  8. wet, odorless, transparent

  9. gas liquid ice

  10. It insulates against temperature changes. Water can store heat and coldness. Water can "deliver" heat or coldness to other objects.

It regulates pH. It can make an acid less acidic, and make something alkaline less ... alkalinic.

Water can, as a solid object, move things. A flowing river can whittle boulders down to sand & pebbles. Steam can operate a turbine. Falling ice can kill.

  11. So many people are so wrong here.  The question is not "What are three states of matter?" which you would then be correct in saying "solid, liquid, gas"  This is asking for specific *properties* of a chemical compound.

Chris M gets close with 2 correct, but water does have an odor.

sd3r has given the most accurate answer so far.
