What are three ways that elementary students can help prevent global warming?

1... Humans exhale CO2.  Stop breathing.

2... Fossil fuel vehicles exhaust greenhouse gasses.  Don't drive cars or fly airplanes.  Walk or ride a bicycle everywhere you go.

3... Fossil fueled electric power plants provide two-thirds of the electricity in the United States.  Cut down on your use of electricity by not driving electric cars, watching TV, surfing the internet, or playing video games.

And

4 (for good measure)...  Study hard in school and invent cleaner power sources.

Make posters which indicate how Solar Power would be good for the economy,and help prevent Human Accelerated Global Warming. If possible ask parents to vote for people that support Solar Power, Next distribute posters advertising a Solar Power Party. Distribute pamphlets and comics about Humam accelerated Global Warming. Sing songs about how  people deny Global Warming and what will happen if it is not stopped. Make posters on recycled papers. Make news papers promotinng Solar Power as part of class projects. See if teachers will support you. Call the newspaper you make The Solar Time. First headline Solar Power Supports The Economy. That sort of thing.

Nothing! Not until we can control the Sun's variability, and the Sun and the Earth's magnetic field.

If you look at the answers to some of the global warming questions, you will find some with very long lists of inputs from scientists or interested technical people.  A lot of them are very credible. If this is a school assignment, if you write a controversial response which may have more truth to it than most school textbooks on the subject, you would get 100% from me, but probably a low grade from your teachers.

A better approach is to avoid falsehoods, by answering the question, How can I help stop pollution and energy wastefulness?

1) Use energy wisely. Turn the lights off when you leave a room. Don't drive somewhere when it isn't necessary.

2) Recycle papers, metals, plastics and other things that take more energy to produce it new than to make it out of trash.

3) Start a class project to log the number of hours per week that they did something different to conserve energy. Make it a fun project, so that elementary students would want to do it.

And then spread it around the world.

I have a lot, but some are needed help from adults.

Here are some:

1. Buy a Hybrid car.

2. inflate tires.

3. reduce garbage.

4. use recycled paper.

5. unplug unused electronics.

6. plant a tree.(very common thing to do.)

7. carpool when you can.

maybe that's better....right?
