  1. Miniature leeches.  They don't make good pets.


  2. Ticks are a small insect with smaller head. It feeds by inserting it's head into the skin of a animal or a person and drinking their blood. When it is full it will drop off and wait for it's next meal. They often infect their victims with  a disease called rocky mountain spotted fever. This is often fatal! symptoms are and usually begin suddenly. There is a high fever often 103 to 105Degrees with chills, muscle aches, and a severe headache. Eyes can become red muscles may feel tender, and there may be severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, and fatigue. A rash can appear anytime up to ten days after being bitten, and people often forget they have even been bitten! The rash looks like small red spots or blotches on the skin. These first appear on Wrists, ankles, palms,and the soles of your feet. It spreads up your arms and legs Towards the trunk of your body. The red spots may begin to look more like bruises or bloody patches under the skin. Doctors usually diagnose after enough symptoms to indicate an infection.

    It is usually treated with oral medication or IV antibiotics, depending on how severe the infection.

    To remove a tick Grasp it by the head with tweezers NOT THE BODY and gently pull in out of the skin. put it into alcohol to kill it and give it to you doctor for identification. Not all ticks carry the bacteria. Treat th bitten area with an alcohol wash.
