What are tropical grasslands called in South America, Africa, and Australia?

Sorry to correct the previous answerer, but the Outback in Australia refers to the desert.

I don't know of any specific name for tropical grasslands in Australia, as our tropical areas tend to have rainforests.

In South America it is the "pampas"

In Africa it is the "savanna"

In Australia it is probably the "outback", but Aussies probably have half a dozen terms for it...
