one superstition that my mom always tells me is that if you dream about loosing a tooth, someone you know will die. If it has a lot of blood, it means the person who dies will be close to you and if there is no blood, the person will just be an acquaintance. another that i have heard is that if a pregnant woman steps over a broom stick that is propped against a wall, her baby will be born with the umbilical cord around his neck.
