What are types of food my RES can eat?

what are things my RES can eat? i feed my turtles commercial pellets daily. i tried feeding them worms, fishes greens, & fruits. but they dont even bother to eat look but they dont seem to be interested. my turtles are about 1 year old. so any suggestions on what i can feed them and where i can get them at? Thanks

I'm not surprised that they turn up their noses at fruit and vegetables. That is food for adults, not juveniles. What does surprise me is that they didn't go for the worms and fishes. Were the feeders too large for the turtles? The only things I might add are soft-bodied insects and strips of liver dusted in bonemeal. One nice thing is that you may be able to keep fish and snails in the tank to help clean it. If the turtles ignore them, you have a clean tank. If they eat the tank-cleaners, you don't have to feed them as much. Just avoid goldfish -- too fatty.

feed him less pellets try little shrimp worms insects and other bugs he probly gets full eating pellets

is that red eared slider turtle? you are pretty much feeding them evevything they can have, worms, fish, greens, vegies, and fruits.  that is about it.  maybe crickets or meal worms, idk i don't have a turtle.

If they are sickly and not eating you may have some issues. Are they blowing bubbles from their nose?

Is their shells soft?

How long has it been since they ate?

Are they basking 8 to 10 hrs a day for the vitamin D they need to grow? Leave the heater on 75 to 78 degrees.

Is their water clean, do you have a good filter system?

You need to feed them feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows for protein and calcium. Just drop the fish in the tyank and give them a few days.

They need leafy greens for vitamins.

Sliders I have two that are 36 yrs old!! Plus an 8 and 5 yr old.

I have had them in a pond for about 6 yrs now..
