  1. It vary from marina /private club.

  2. There really is no typical cost as prices vary considerably depnding on location and the size of boat in quesiton.

In many areas, the freedom of the seas allows one to anchor absolutley free of charge, though some municipalities are begging to either charge or place time limits.   Fort Lauderdale, for example, only allows people to anchor for one night.

I've done 2-month long trips to the Bahamas and anchored out for free every single night.

An alternative to docking and anchoring is to pick up a mooring ball.   I've seen these run anywhere from $50/month at some marinas to $30/night in the Virgin Islands.

Slip fees vary even more.   I dock a 17-foot sailboat on a small lake for $200/summer season.   A slip for a sailboat in the low 30s feet might have a transient fee for almost that much for a night in Miami.    In most areas on the east coast, you can probalby get a marina slip for around $300/month for a 30 foot boat if you look around.

Mainteance and insurance are other costs to consider.
