What are useful items to pack if you are traveling to a hot country for an outdoors holiday?

in addition to the first answer, you might also want one of those mosquito nets and a sleeping bag, depending on your lodgings. If it's a really outdoors holiday (camping with an actual tent), don't forget the airbed or some sort of mattrass to lie on.

Good walking shoes are also a necessity if you plan on exploring a lot, and bring t-shirts and sun cream too - you do not want to have to carry a backpack on burnt shoulders, trust me!

Other than that, just make sure you bring your good mood and humour *wink*. (Oh and don't forget the paperwork to get there either!).
