  2. From Edwardsville, IL.,  by car go North on I 55 aprox. 290 miles and you will be in Chicago

    You could also take  the Amtrak  train from St. Louis, I believe there are at least 4 each day and it cost around $40

    There is the Greyhound bus.

    If time is not of the essence you could walk, or attempt to hitch a ride.
