What are ways to make things explode using house hold items?

im bored out of my mind...can someone tell me how to maked something explode using household items? like making a soda bottle explode

My dad told me this, I haven't tried it myself.

Take a soda can and fill it with match heads. Attach a fuse to it, (A piece of string has worked in other projects) and light it. Get FAR away, this could blow out a window...

Hmmm... looks like you are planning for an explosion.  

Well, take a pencil and a paper and make an explosion. It is much better and it does not inflict any physical injury to anybody.

If you have access to dry ice, you can make a dry ice bomb. You need dry ice, a soda bottle (about 2 liter), and water (preferably warm). Put some warm water in and dent the side of the bottle. Put the dry ice in and RUN. It should make a loud bang. Do this in a field or somewhere where there is a lot of space and no people. The dent is to see when the pressure is building up and it buys you some time. If the bottle doesn't go off and the dent had popped back, do NOT pick it up. Take a BB gun and shoot it. It could explode in your face which would probably hurt. You can get dry ice at ice cream stores and grocery stores. Be very careful.
