This will reduce our dependency of foreign oil, and will create lots and lots of of new jobs. This will create a whole new self-sustaining economy all within the USA, create a new field of careers for people to get into, and help protect the enviroment as well.

Also, let's try to spell environmentally correctly. I would add some other pet peeves to your list: barking dogs, tattoos, diesel vehicles, and others. We keep getting promised global warming, yet this week has been incredibly cold for most of the nation. I find this most inconvenient. I was pleased to see that your question doesn't just say "the environment" and you do give examples.

These people are jerks. To stabilize America's economy, only buy things that are made in America.

Unplug anything that's not being used. Even appliances (lamps, toasters, microwaves, and everything else with a plug) use up electricity when they're turned off.

Replace your light bulbs with energy efficient ones. (These are more expensive but last ten times longer.)

Only buy food if it was grown or raised locally. (Millions of gallons of gas are wasted on bringing out of season foods to the store. Buy food from local farmers and farmer's markets. Then can the extra food for winter.)

Buy only organic products. (The environment gets hurt by all the soap and the toxic cleaners that goes down the drain.)

Go online and search "green living." There's hundreds of sites out there for how to live a green life. :)

NUKE THE PLANET! Let's consider ...inflation ...oil ...poor leadership. These are the problems ... so what's the solution? Remove a lot of U.S. money from circulation. We need alternative fuel resources. We need strong leadership training. We need to outlaw video games and TV and the video/photo feeds of the Internet. Let's face it current trends are the average person is getting dumber. Fear for the future if you keep things running as is. A few well placed mushroom clouds might help bring people closer together and war keeps population down so that simple jobs are the number one needs. Hunt a deer, kill a deer, eat a deer...life's better when it's simple like that. Or eat the beans and vegies if your not into the whole meat eating part of life.
