i am worried about the earth and what we are doing to it ever since my dad told me that there are ways that we can help our earth but we are not. now i am writing a report on why we should stop harming our earth. hopefully i will be able to go to other schools and present it to get the message through kids heads. if you know anything i could include in the report, please tell me very soon.

  1. We will not destoy this earth it is FAR bigger and stonger than us. What we will destroy are the earthlings, then when the earth has gotton us off its back it will move on to its next phase. Sorry to be so blunt but it's time people realize the we have the ability to s***w things up and the ability to make thing better - if we try. Thanks for trying to help "get the message through", Check out my website for LOTS of ways we can help but are not. Good Luck!

  2. if there was global warming, i wouldn't be so F***ing cold right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gas concentrations" via the greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.

These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least thirty scientific societies and academies of science,[including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.

While individual scientists have voiced disagreement with some findings of the IPCC,  the overwhelming majority of scientists working on climate change agree with the IPCC's main conclusions.

Mean surface temperature anomalies during the period 1995 to 2004 with respect to the average temperatures from 1940 to 1980.

    Causes-

The Earth's climate changes in response to external forcing, including variations in its orbit around the Sun (orbital forcing),changes in solar luminosity, volcanic eruptions, and atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations. The detailed causes of the recent warming remain an active field of research, but the scientific consensus[18][19] is that the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases due to human activity caused most of the warming observed since the start of the industrial era. This attribution is clearest for the most recent 50 years, for which the most detailed data are available. Some other hypotheses departing from the consensus view have been suggested to explain most of the temperature increase. One such hypothesis proposes that warming may be the result of variations in solar activity.

Thats the best i can do to help u.

  4. It's not the earth you should worry about. The earth will live on.

It's been through a lot the past billions of years and it will keep on going... It's the people that live on it you should worry about!

People wont be able to live on this planet if they continue to do the things they're doing.

    Captain planet! we need you!

  5. 31,000 leading scientists have now signed on to a statement that there is NO global warming occuring.  Thats 31 THOUSAND.
