I'm just curious because I know that we are slowly eating away at all the oil thats left on Earth, and when it does run out, what are people going to do?

  1. we'll just start living like the Flintstones, eating bronto-burgers and all!

    organic of course ☺

who knows, we may even be in peace, love it!

  2. The problem with oil is, it doesn't work with the idea of globalization. Globalization is the attempt for all nations to have a common economy, common technology/information and a common government. Having common technology/information throughout the world has it's pros and cons- good, because people live longer due to more access to medication, and the quality of life is better. The con- overpopulation. And this is where oil can't fit in- there are about 6 billion people on this Earth, and we all need food, fresh water, shelter and natural resources, or oil. With globalization in action, and overpopulatin becoming more and more severe, oil is definatally starting a countdown toward distinction. So what will we do when oil is completally gone? For a while, I beilve there will be some sort of mass confusion- a lot of the things we do is powered by oil, after all. A lot of people will become jobless. Things will be very hard- exporting and importing will become extremally difficult, and there will be lots and lots of walking and biciclying. But things will eventually clear up- we do have alternitives, like solar panles. I hope we don't run out of oil, but if we do, I hope it will come accross to the world as a sort-of wake up call- that we need to help our world survive and come up with many alternitves so that we don't run out of any other natural resource... well, that's my take on it. ^^

  3. There are plenty of energy sources - they just cost more then oil.  We will have to go back to making things that last, though, since wood, metal, and glass will replace plastic (made from oil).

It may mean a return to the constant warfare of the past, though, as land control will once again be a prime issue.

  4. horse and buggy..walking..bike riding..

  5. be at peace with each other... as war and oil seem to go hand in hand nowadays!!

  6. learn how to use solar power, wind power.

  7. Before that happens the world will have transitioned to other fuels to keep things going. Those who want to control greenhouse gases are a bigger threat than the supply issue is.

  8. Finally take all of those inventions that have been shelved off of the shelf?

  9. Die from Global Warming as they use wind and electricity power and return to the age of sails. Nuculear power another possibility.

  10. In a thousand years or so when that happens, we will have developed new technologies to take the place of oil. Don't let the chicken littles fool you, there are still huge deposits of oil waiting for us to pump it. But we will need to get rid of the obstructionist Democrats first.
