It is a concern but Toro Ross foundations are a lot less precarious than SA has been so I think thy will survive.

Worrying innit..... I would of thought more car manufactures would be interested like Porche, Hyundai ( don't laugh they made an experimental engine a while ago or the VW/ Audi group could have a team. i think the days of the independent teams are over, mores the pity!

Toro Rosso, a junior team of Redbull racing, is for sale by 2009 season onwards.

According to Red Bull chief Dietrich Mateschitz, RBR will continue with one team only for 2010 but they will not sell Toro Rosso this 2008 season. They will only sell the team if it is put into safe hands. But it will be before 2010.

I don't think Toro Rosso will leave... Mateschitz is just looking for a buyer before 2010... I think they are an attractive proposition and will find a suitable buyer in good time...

I hope they don't. I like seeing many teams on the grid. And they are the only team that seem to project this fun image while others are all about being serious. F1 needs some 'fun' injected into it, you know.

if they do fail somebody will buy them and replace them.  Teams come and go.  Look how many teams have failed in the last 20 years alone but they were all replaced.  When was the last time we had less than 22 F1 cars?  Ford, Jaguar, Cosworth engines, Jordan, etc.  and I mentioned even more that have failed in another response.

Stoddart might be coming back.

In an interview at an IRL race, he stated that he would like to get back into F1, since he was leaving IRL.

He want's Mosley gone first I think, and then maybe, just maybe, TR might become Minardi again!
