What are webkinz?

is it like muchiz online or epets? And would a nine year old like webkinz?

My daughter keeps asking for me to get her one. I just wonder would she really like it or would it be like her epet and never play online or her muchiz that she loves?

I am here to help! I just recently entered the world of Webkinz when my twin 4 year olds came home from school one day telling me all about them. I was thrilled to see that these cute, semi-affordable toys were a great way to encourage healthy Internet play. What a Webkinz is is a stuffed animal (there are hundreds?) that comes with a secret code that you enter in to the website. The code can only be used once however. Once you enter your personal code, you are able to name, dress, and interact with your virtual pets. There are countless games and activities that you can play with your pet online. I was recently introduced to the "Pet of the Month" which basically is the "Pet of the Month". When you purchase and enter your pets code during that month, you are able to get "bonus things" for your online critters. My girls LOVE this concept far more than they have any other online pets game. This is something that they truly enjoy because of the endless things that you are able to do on the website.

Webkinz are plush toys that come with a secret code.  When you enter the code on the Webkinz website, you can enter the wonderful Webkinz World.  You get to play with your now virtual pet, design there room, play games, and much more!  My cousin is nine years old, and she just loves Webkinz!  I think that your daughter would be very happy with one, too!  And there are over a hundreds of them, so you can probably find her favourite animal, too!  :)

Webkinz are stuffed animals. They come to life when you enter their secret code tag. You, or your child names it and then you can do many things with it. You can feed it, give it a bath(requires bathtub, buy with kinzcash), decorate your pets room. When you play games with it,y ou get kinzcash . Plus you get educational value from using Quizzy's Question Corner.

If you feel that Webkinz are too expensive you could get the miniature version called Lil' Kinz. It has all the same features but the pet is smaller as a plush and online.

The bottom line is that you can do many things with a webkinz, and then your child could cherish the stuffed animal in real life. Your child will love it!

My 9 year old came home this school year "dying for a webkinz"  So I did some checking around and even a few of the teachers at her school approved of them and the website as a "safe place for kids" (including her school's technology teacher)  So I finally got her one for Valentine's day She loves it.  The webkinz site has a virtual world for the pet and also allows "email" between friends.  You must know the person's username to send messages and the messages are scripted. (you pick from what they give you in  drop down menus so there is no risk of someone obtaining personal information)  Since Valentine's day, my daughter has saved her own money and purchased 2 more webkinz.  So yes I do believe your 9 year old would like webkinz
