I've been working for a non-profit organization as a teacher for children with autism, down syndrome for a little over 2 months. And I need another job so I applied for a position as an Instructional Assistant for Special Education at Fullerton School District. The job calls for experience working with children who have autism. I received a letter asking that I come in for a written examination. And I'm wondering what the test is about and what to expect. Or what happens after the written exam (the hiring process for school districts). So if anyone has any experience with this your advice is greatly appreciated, my exam is in 3 days!

  1. They may check your Reading, Math, & Written Language skills because of No Child Left Behind. OR they may ask "what if?" questions. Like, "What if a child throws up. What will you do?" The people who answer those on paper, the best, they'll call in for interviews.
